SKWOL® Darktide P21
One (1) Year Limited Mechanical Warranty
Scope of Warranty
SKWOL®, LLC (“SKWOL”) warrants to the original retail purchaser that the SKWOL® Darktide P21 6" 21mm Dual Action Polisher (the “Product”) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended, and documented use for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”).
This Limited Warranty applies only to mechanical and electrical components of the Product and is valid only for the original purchaser. Proof of purchase from an authorized SKWOL seller is required.
What This Warranty Covers
During the Warranty Period, and subject to the terms and exclusions set forth below, SKWOL will, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the defective Product, or
- Replace the defective Product or component with a new or refurbished equivalent, or
- Provide an alternative remedy deemed appropriate by SKWOL
All warranty remedies will be performed using genuine SKWOL components and commercially reasonable workmanship standards.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover (Exclusions)
This Limited Warranty does not apply to, and expressly excludes, any damage, failure, defect, or diminished performance resulting from:
- Misuse, abuse, negligence, or accident
- Improper, unsafe, or overloaded operation
- Use inconsistent with intended marine or detailing applications
- Failure to follow operating, maintenance, or safety instructions
- Exposure to water, moisture, salt intrusion, corrosive environments, or submersion
- Use with incompatible pads, accessories, backing plates, or power sources
- Modification, alteration, or removal of factory components or safety features
- Disassembly, tampering, or servicing by any party not authorized by SKWOL
- Cosmetic wear, including but not limited to scratches, scuffs, finish wear, or labeling wear
- Normal wear and tear, including consumable components
- Damage caused by shipping, mishandling, or improper storage
- Products with removed, altered, or illegible serial numbers
- Products determined to be previously used, reconditioned, or resold as new
- Issues such as spindle bending from impacts or water ingress-induced short circuits are generally not covered under the warranty.
Single-use products, short-term use, or products returned after intensive use are not considered defective and are expressly excluded from warranty coverage.
Warranty Claim Process
To initiate a warranty claim, the original purchaser must:
- Contact SKWOL customer support prior to returning any Product
- Provide valid proof of purchase
- Provide photographs, video, or other documentation reasonably requested to evaluate the claim
- Obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number from SKWOL
Products returned without prior authorization may be refused or returned at the sender’s expense.
SKWOL reserves the right to inspect all returned Products and to deny warranty coverage if inspection reveals non-covered conditions.
Shipping & Handling
Unless otherwise required by law:
- The customer is responsible for shipping the Product to SKWOL
- SKWOL will cover return shipping for approved warranty repairs or replacements
Shipping damage, loss, or delay caused by carriers is not covered under this Warranty.
Fraud Prevention & Abuse Safeguards
SKWOL reserves the right to deny any warranty claim where evidence indicates:
- Abuse of warranty privileges
- Misrepresentation of product condition or usage
- Intentional damage or neglect
- Attempted warranty claims on non-defective or fully functional tools
Any Product returned and found to be fully functional or outside warranty coverage may be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
Post-Warranty Service Program
For Products outside the Warranty Period, SKWOL offers a discretionary post-warranty service program for repairable units.
- Each tool is individually evaluated for serviceability
- When repairable, tools are restored using genuine components and skilled workmanship
- A one-time comprehensive service fee of $50 covers inspection, repair, and return shipping
Participation in this program is subject to availability and SKWOL’s sole discretion.
Limitations of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- THIS WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY PROVIDED BY SKWOL
- SKWOL DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- SKWOL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF TIME, OR LOSS OF PROFITS
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages; in such cases, these limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Governing Law
This Limited Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Final Notes to Customer
This warranty is designed to protect customers who use their SKWOL® Darktide P21 as intended—professionally, responsibly, and with care—while allowing SKWOL to maintain the performance standards and integrity expected of premium-grade tools.
